What's Integrative Health

What is integrative health

Integrative health is a healing approach to care that emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between practitioner and client, is informed by evidence, and addresses the full range of physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental influences that affect a person’s health.

As part of creating optimal mental health Barbara may suggest certain simple dietary adjustments to support decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression and increasing personal energy.

Marrying my love of food and cooking, and an ever-present desire to master the components of feeling the best one can, I’ve come to appreciate that loving food and eating healthily don’t have to be mutually exclusive.  To this end, I hold certifications in mental health integrative health, body-mind coaching and have studied with a natural food chef.

Our minds and bodies are connected and what we feed one affects the other. Food is medicine.
